The three suspects arrested in connection with the attack on Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon have been released on bail.
That was after the suspects were produced in court today (May 19).
Mr. Tennakoon was attacked just days after the May 9 attack on Galle Face, sparking violence across the country.
He was attacked on Perahera Mawatha near the Gangarama Temple in Colombo.
