The road in front of Parliament will be closed for two days to avoid protests !

The Parliament Road from Diyatha Uyana Junction to Jayanthipura Junction and from Jayanthipura Junction to Kiyannam Junction will be closed today (May 6), police said.

A statement issued by the Police Media Spokesman's Office stated that the by roads leading to the Parliament Road will also be closed during this period.

Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.

The decision was taken with the intention of keeping the proceedings of the Parliament uninterrupted due to the public protests taking place in the surrounding areas on the days of the Parliamentary sessions.

Due to this the police have requested the public to use alternative routes.
