What happened protesting in front of the naval base !

A tense situation has arisen in front of the Trincomalee Naval Base (Command Headquarters East Naval Area).

 People gathered there allege that former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and his family members are hiding there and that they are preparing to flee the country.

As a result, people are protesting, demanding that the former prime minister and others be expelled, our correspondent said.

It is reported that a group of Rajapaksa family members including former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Shiranthi Rajapaksa and Namal Rajapaksa arrived at the Trincomalee Naval Base in the morning of May 10 in three helicopters.
