A motorcycle collided with a bicycle near the junction of Dadalla and Jayantha Mawatha on the Galle-Colombo road and collided with a concrete pillar.
The motorcyclist, the cyclist and the cyclist who were injured in the accident were admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital and later succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased has been identified as a 22 year old resident of Moratuwa.
The body is being kept at the Karapitiya Hospital morgue while the cyclist and motorcyclist are receiving treatment at the Karapitiya Hospital.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision between a SLTB bus and a motorbike coming from the opposite direction at Piyin Wanguwa on the Sripura-Sinhapura road yesterday (May 29) evening.
The deceased has been identified as a 45 year old resident of Sri Pura.
The driver of the bus has been arrested and Sripura police are conducting further investigations.
A tipper truck traveling from Matara to Tangalle in the Gandara Police Division has collided with a motorcycle traveling from the Galgane Road by road to the main road.
The motorcyclist who was seriously injured in the accident has died after being admitted to the Matara Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as a 40 year old resident of Devinuwara.
The driver of the tipper truck has been arrested in connection with the accident.
The driver of a van traveling from Kandy to Colombo has veered off the road and collided with a culvert in the Dummaladeniya area on the Colombo Kandy Road in the Warakapola Police Division.
The driver of the van and 11 others who were injured in the accident were admitted to the Warakapola Hospital and one of the passengers died.
The deceased has been identified as a 52 year old resident of Batuwatta, Ragama.
Investigations have revealed that the driver of the van had fallen asleep in the accident.
Meanwhile, a motorbike traveling from Bibila to Badullagammana had veered off the road and collided with a power pole on the Bibila-Badullagammana by road in the Bibila Police Division yesterday (May 29) evening.
The motorcyclist and the cyclist who were seriously injured in the accident died after being admitted to the Bibila Hospital.
The victims were aged 17 and 31 and were residents of Bibile.
Bibila Police are conducting further investigations.
