A decision to keep public servants at home to save fuel and electricity !

The Commissioner General of Essential Services, K.S. D.S. Mr. Ruwan Chandra has informed the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government.

He has requested the Secretary to the Ministry to call only the essential staff so as not to interfere with the work of the office and to allow them to act at the discretion of the Head of the Institution.

It also directed that the heads of institutions be given the necessary powers to temporarily attach officers who report for duty from a distance to a place near their place of residence.

The purpose is to limit the use of electricity, fuel, water, etc.
