Ranil Wickremesinghe, the newly elected Prime Minister, has said he will form an all-party government, but this morning Parliament was seen splitting the vote on both sides.
Accordingly, there is a candidate from Pohottu and a candidate from the Opposition.
In addition, it can be seen that many members of the independent group have not come to Parliament today.
Accordingly, many are of the opinion that a budding government has been re-established.
They also point out that a referendum is being held to elect the Deputy Speaker once again, which will cost a lot of time and money in Parliament.
