The new Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that the Gotagogama protests will be allowed to continue.
He also said that the police would not allow the protesters to touch them.
He was speaking to the media after visiting the Valukarama Temple after being sworn in as the Prime Minister.
He also said he would confirm that he has a majority in parliament.

Ranil Wickremesinghe: The struggle is going on. I will not touch Gota Gogama. It has to be carried. The police are not doing anything.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also said that all issues would be resolved with the assistance of all members of Parliament.
