A foreign national was killed when a Bike traveling from Matara to Tangalle collided with a lorry on the Tangalle-Matara road in the Eliyakanda area.
The foreign national who was seriously injured in the accident died on admission to the Matara Hospital, police stated.
The victim was a 70 - year - old Dutch man.
The body is being kept at the Matara Hospital morgue.
The driver of the lorry has been arrested in connection with the accident and the Matara Police are conducting further investigations.
