Four schoolchildren fall into well: One killed !

Four school children who went to bathe in a well near the Khettarama temple in Harumalgoda, Habaraduwa have fallen into the well last evening.

Habaraduwa police said three of them had been rescued and one had died.

The students had come to bathe and were sitting on the wall when the wall suddenly collapsed and they fell into a well.

Residents of the area had emptied the well and rescued the boy who was trapped at the bottom, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Habaraduwa Police are conducting investigations into the incident.
