Galle Face struggle: Saliya Peiris opposes a police trap !

Police have appeared before the Colombo Magistrate's Court today (May 6) to seek an order against the anti-government protest taking place at Galle Face Green.

President's Counsel Saliya Peiris, President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, has stated that the officers are preparing to obtain the relevant order at the Magistrate's Chamber.

However, Saliya Peiris has requested Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela to take the case to open court only.
