Here is the method of giving the fuel that the people of the country do not have to the Members of Parliament !

Steps have been taken to supply fuel for the vehicles of the Members of Parliament from the filling station belonging to the Police Transport Division in Narahenpita during the Parliamentary sessions.

The IGP's office has informed that action should be taken to issue fuel to the Members of Parliament through the Police Fuel Station for a short period of time until the current situation is resolved.

The amount of fuel issued for the vehicles of the Members of Parliament will be given to the Police Transport Division by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and the amount charged for the supply of that fuel will be collected.

Kanchana Wijesekera, Minister of Power and Energy has informed that a person from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation will be attached to the relevant filling station.

The IGP's office has further instructed that the Member of Parliament should be in the vehicle in person at the time of refueling and that fuel should be issued only for cash on hand.
