Khalid Payanda is the former Taliban finance minister who presented a $ 6 billion budget in Kabul before the Taliban rule.
He currently works as an Uber taxi driver in Washington, DC to support his family.
He told The Washington Post that he was currently a taxi driver earning about $ 150 for a six-hour service.
He fled to the United States with his family to save his life after the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan last August.
During his tenure as Finance Minister, he represented Afghanistan at a number of world conferences.
