"If the Rajapaksas do not go home before the parliament convenes again, they will be surrounded from all sides" - Anthare convener

The Inter-University Student Federation (IUSF) warns that if the government does not resign before the next sitting, parliament will be surrounded on all sides from the first moment it convenes.

Its convener Wasantha Mudalige stated that his members were leaving the parliament at the moment and would return to the venue on May 17, the day after the parliament convenes.

He further added that he was leaving to allow the government led by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to resign.

"We are postponing the government. We are postponing Gotabhaya Rajapaksas, Mahinda Rajapaksas and the government.  must resign immediately before the next parliamentary session or we will see. We will close all the remaining gates,  We're coming to besiege Parliament the next day. That Parliament will not be surrounded on one side.
