"If Ranil's sweet potato economy was active, Sri Lanka would be Japan today. People should understand this truth, ”said Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, a former Member of Parliament and a member of the Central Committee of the JVP.

"Why is Ranil Wickremesinghe printing money, borrowing and selling what he has?" Mr. Nalinda Jayatissa questioned.

“Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has been appointed as the new Finance Minister of the Pohottu government. We call certain events the mockery of fate. Although Ravi Karunanayake has been the Finance Minister for some time in 2015, the Central Bank was under Ranil Wickremesinghe. Similarly, the Ministry of Economic Development was under Ranil Wickremesinghe. Ranil sold some property in this country, sold the Hambantota port and tried to sell SriLankan. At that time there were plans to sell valuable lands in the city of Colombo. The East Jetty was planned to be sold. Although Ranil went and spoke at various economic conferences, investments did not come.

Even then, their solution was to sell. Ranil created a one stop station for sale. At that time there were discussions about selling the remaining water, electricity, banks, railway department etc. The only thing that happened at that time was that not so much money was printed. Ranil's policies of the past are being carried out in the same manner today. Ranil said he would give $ 450 million through the MCC agreement. The Rajapaksas came to power by forming an opinion against it. Today the Rajapaksas are working to get what the Rajapaksas want through Ranil Wickremesinghe. Those who protested against the sale then raise their hands today when Ranil Wickremesinghe is selling the country's resources. Those who opposed Ranil's national policy then are keeping Ranil's economic policy in their heads like a relic box today.

History of Ceylon Three members of the same family Mahinda, Gota and Basil were the Ministers of Finance. They kept it, or gave it to someone they trusted. That is how the Rajapaksas appointed Ranil as their Prime Minister. If Ranil's economic policy was implemented then, we should move closer to Japan today. ”
