Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles emphasizes that care will be taken to protect law enforcement officers.

 


Tiran Alles, the Minister of Public Security, emphasizes that the Sri Lanka Police officers should perform their duties legally and that he, as the Minister, will take care of every police officer who does so.


He was speaking at a discussion held at the Ministry of Public Security in Suhurupaya, Battaramulla.


The discussion was held with the IGP, Senior DIG and other senior police officers last Thursday.


The Minister also instructed the police to take immediate action in coordination with the relevant agencies on legal issues faced by police officers in the line of duty.


The Minister also said that the Sri Lanka Police should seek the assistance of the Armed Forces in difficult situations. The Minister of Public Security advised that the issues raised during the discussion should be implemented expeditiously.
