The Public Utilities Commission has taken steps not to make any power cuts during the GCE Ordinary Level examination.
Its chairman Janaka Ratnayake said that the Ceylon Electricity Board had been instructed not to make any power cuts during the examination period and after 6.00 pm.
He also said that it has been decided to provide uninterrupted power supply on May 21, 22 and 29 after 6.00 pm.
The Chairman further stated that the relevant institutions have been informed to provide the Ceylon Electricity Board with the required fuel and water facilities for power generation.
This year's GCE Ordinary Level Examination will be held from May 23 to June 1
