Ranil reveals the decision to be taken regarding the salaries of public servants in the next relief budget !

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has decided to increase the monthly salaries of public servants with immediate effect from the relief budget.

The Prime Minister has taken this decision to help public servants to cope with the rising cost of living.

After the Good Governance Government came to power in 2015, steps were taken to increase the salaries of public servants by Rs. 10,000.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister has informed the budget makers that the salaries of public servants should be increased in view of the rising cost of living.

The Prime Minister is expected to present the budget and demand an increase in the salaries of private sector employees in line with the increase in the salaries of public servants.
