Rupees. Two cars and a motorcycle set on fire for asking for a 2080 loan?

Two Benz cars and a motorbike caught fire in a garden in the Puliyankadawara area in Chilaw this morning, reports say.

Although the exact cause of the fire was not revealed, the owner of the vehicle, Lal Hettiarachchi, told our correspondent that this may have been due to a personal dispute.

"I have no political problem. I had a small argument with someone who bought me Rupees.

The value of these vehicles is estimated to be around Rupees. 65 lakhs. Police suspect that the fire broke out at around 1.00 am.

Chilaw Police have launched a special investigation into the incident using police sniffer dogs.
