Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has been charged by the Narcotics Bureau of India with drug trafficking.
Indian media reported that the Narcotics Bureau (NCB) Special Investigation Team (SIT) today (May 27) removed Aryan Khan and five others from the chargesheet filed on a ship for drug trafficking, citing insufficient evidence.
The Anti-Narcotics Agency of India (NIA) has filed a 6,000-page indictment naming 14 suspects, including Aryan Khan, for using and possessing narcotics during a raid on a cruise ship off the city of Mumbai in October 2021.
He was jailed for more than three weeks after his arrest and was later released on bail.
However, the Narcotics Bureau of India has stated that the arrested Aryan Khan was not in possession of narcotics.
Accordingly, the Narcotics Bureau of India has taken steps to acquit him and five others.
