Gunapala Ratnasekera, Minister of State for Cooperative Services, Marketing Development and Consumer Protection has submitted his resignation letter.
Making a special statement in Parliament today (06), the Minister of State stated that in order to function in a ministerial post, a country must have stability.
"I sincerely acknowledge that there is not enough room to work in these ministries, so I personally submitted my resignation letter to the President last evening. The President refused to accept it at that time. There is no social and political stability in the country. In a country we need to have the mentality and stability to continue working in a ministry.
