In view of the fact that there is currently no clear and uniform procedure for hearing and deciding such cases due to the fact that contempt of court has not been defined in Sri Lanka and the introduction of appropriate laws in view of the recently severely criticized cases of contempt of court. The Law Commission of Sri Lanka has studied and prepared a preliminary draft.
