After giving one piece of the ministry to Dhammika, the rest is gazetted separately

A new Ministry has been announced as the Ministry of Technology.

Previously, the two Ministries were merged into the Ministry of Technology and Investment Promotion and the two Ministries were separated after Dhammika Perera was sworn in as the Minister of Investment Promotion.

The Ministry of Technology is currently under President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

It includes several institutions including the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and Sri Lanka Telecom.
