The son of MP Dilip Wedaarachchi and his niece have been arrested.
The Police Media Spokesman's Office stated that the suspects were arrested after surrendering to the Weeraketiya Police.
They are due to be produced before the Walasmulla Magistrate's Court tomorrow (June 7).
They were charged with obstructing the duties of police officers and committing criminal violence at the Bedigama interchange on the Southern Expressway.
