“If there is a power outage, there is no time to say repair it”

It is reported that the fuel crisis has severely affected the employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board who are engaged in field duties to repair and maintain power outages.

Senajith Dassanayake, Acting Additional General Manager (Corporate Strategy) of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), said that this could lead to delays in deploying CEB vehicles for power outages and maintenance due to power outages.

He said that due to the shortage of fuel, the CEB has to identify priorities and direct vehicles.

He said that due to this, there could be some delay in repairing the power outages and he was committed to provide electricity as soon as possible to minimize the inconvenience to the consumers.
