Indian Special Envoy to visit Sri Lanka to discuss financial assistance


Indian External Affairs Secretary Vinay Kwatra and three other senior Indian government officials arrived in Sri Lanka on the morning of June 23 to discuss further financial assistance to Sri Lanka.


They arrived at the Katunayake Airport at 9.20 am on a special flight K-3603 owned by the Government of India from New Delhi, India.


Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagle and a group of officials from the office had also arrived at the Katunayake Airport to welcome the delegation.


They are scheduled to meet with the President, the Prime Minister and a number of senior Sri Lankan politicians.


The Indian delegation left for New Delhi, India at around 06.00 pm yesterday.
