Johnston has been named as a suspect in the May 9 incident

The CID has taken action against MP Johnston Fernando as a suspect in connection with the incidents that took place on May 09 in the Galle Face Green and Kollupitiya areas in Colombo.

The CID has also decided to name Mahinda Kahandagama and two others as suspects in the case.

Additional Solicitor General Ayesha Jinasena, who appeared for the CID, informed the court when the case was taken up in the Fort Magistrate's Court today.
