Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardena says that all the Ministers in the Cabinet have agreed to work without pay for one year.
The Minister made this observation at a media briefing held today (June 7).
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has submitted the relevant proposal to the Cabinet and all the Ministers have agreed to it, said Bandula Gunawardena.
The Prime Minister presented a Cabinet paper this year which approved the Cabinet paper submitted by one of the Ministers to serve for one year without pay. Therefore, a cabinet paper was presented to act within a year without receiving any salary as well as the donations made by many people for the country during this year. All the cabinet ministers agreed to that. ”
