One killed after bus plunges into precipice in Meemure

One person was killed and several others were injured when a bus fell into a precipice in the Lulwatta area on the Meemure - Hunnasgiriya road.

A bus traveling from Meemure was involved in an accident.

Five persons who were injured in the accident have been admitted to the Teldeniya Base Hospital and several others to the Medamahanuwara Regional Hospital.

The body of the deceased has been placed at the Medamahanuwara Regional Hospital.
