Police instructed to videotape clashes at petrol stations

Police personnel deployed at the petrol stations have been instructed to videotape the clashes.

Police Media Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa stated this.

They have also been instructed to contact senior police officers and seek the assistance of additional officers when such clashes are out of control.

The Police Media Spokesman further stated that the decision has been taken to use the footage to identify the perpetrators and take legal action against them in the future.
