"Petrol ship arrives today"

A ship carrying 40,000 metric tons of petrol was scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on the morning of June 23, but the arrival of the ship will be delayed by a day, said Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera.

The ship is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on June 24, the Minister said.

Due to this a limited quantity of petrol will have to be distributed throughout the country today as well as yesterday, the Minister said.

The Minister further said that although arrangements have been made to distribute auto diesel at maximum capacity, the distribution of super diesel has to be restricted.
