Potatoes from Bangladesh to Sri Lanka

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has promised to supply potatoes to Sri Lanka, which is facing an economic crisis.

According to the Sri Lankan Prime Minister's Media Unit, he made the remarks during a meeting with SAARC Secretary General Esala Weerakoon in Dhaka.

Although Bangladesh is a densely populated country, Sri Lanka is taking steps to supply potatoes in times of crisis.

The Prime Minister of Bangladesh has said that poverty is the worst enemy in South Asia and that countries in the SAARC region should join hands to eradicate poverty.
