Request made by the public health inspectors to the public regarding face masks

The Association of Public Health Inspectors says that their union does not agree with the decision of the Ministry of Health to remove the face masks.

Its chairman, Upul Rohana, said the reduction in the number of deaths did not confirm that there were no infected people in Corona.

“No antigen or antibody tests have been done in Sri Lanka in the recent past. Therefore, we do not agree with such a gamble in the dark without knowing whether there is a disease or not. ”

He urged people to wear face masks when traveling in suspicious places and to ensure their own safety.

He further said that during the upcoming Poson season, people attending Dansals and Poson zones should wear face masks.
