74-year-old grandfather writing O / L !

Chandradasa Godage, a 74-year-old resident of Kalubowitiyana, Neluwa, appeared for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination .

Mr. Godage had applied for the subjects of Science and Mathematics and accordingly he appeared for the subject of Science .

Mr. Chandradasa Godage is accordingly he appeared for the examination for Mathematics today (May 30).

Mr. Godage appeared for the science subject at last year's GCE Ordinary Level Examination, where he obtained an S pass, he said.

“I am now 74 years old. It was in 1970 that I first sat for the GCE Ordinary Level Examination. I studied at Alapaladeniya Maha Vidyalaya. Seven subjects and four awards were obtained in that examination. However, due to the political pressure at that time I could not get a job even though I passed the examination.

I sit for exams for self-satisfaction, fun, and if there is an exam I feel like applying. Knowledge is gained by reading books. I have a general knowledge of the subject of science. This time the science question paper is more difficult than last year. Learning can not be limited to sitting for an exam. You have to learn until you die. There are things to learn Now that the syllabus for exams has changed, modernized, there is a modernized education system.

Unlike then, now there are plenty of facilities for school children to pursue their education. We had no facilities at that time. Now there are tutoring classes. Teaching is done through the media. You can learn from newspapers. In a place where school children are urged to reap the maximum benefits from education, thieves will not be able to take over enemies, they will not be able to bury themselves in the water, they will not be able to take on kings even if they are angry, and the art of learning will survive.
