The National Transport Commission (NTC) has also increased expressway and luxury bus fares due to rising fuel prices.
Accordingly, from Colombo to Matara Rs. 1,210, from Kadawatha to Galle Rs. 1,000 and from Colombo to Embilipitiya Rs. 1,680, from Colombo to Weeraketiya Rs. 1,550, from Colombo to Moneragala Rs. 2,420 and from Makumbura to Akkaraipattu Rs. 3,100.
Inter-provincial bus fares have been revised from Rs. 457 to Rs. 457 from Colombo to Kandy, Rs. 583 from Colombo to Matara and Rs. 437 from Colombo to Galle.
