Former President Maithripala Sirisena, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has stated that he and his party fully support the 21st Amendment to the Constitution.

Maithripala Sirisena has informed this in a letter to the Minister of Justice Dr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa.

The letter further states that he agrees with all the amendments made in the 21st Amendment to the Constitution presented by Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa on May 24 and that he himself would bring several amendments to the attention of Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa.
