Humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka from Tamil Nadu and the date of receipt !


More than Rupees. 2 billion worth of humanitarian aid from the Indian people is due to arrive in Sri Lanka on May 22, the Indian High Commission said.

The office said in a statement that the aid consignment contained 9,000 metric tons of rice, 50 metric tons of milk powder and more than 25 metric tons of medicines and medical supplies.

Accordingly, the Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Balle will hand over the aid to the Sri Lankan authorities.

The humanitarian aid will be distributed among the beneficiaries throughout the country, including the Northern, Eastern, Central and Western Provinces.
