International Labor Day falls today (01). On May 1, 1886, workers gathered in Chicago, USA, to protest, demanding an eight-hour shift. Police attacked protests for several days and many workers were arrested and arrested. May 1, 1889, the beginning of the workers' struggle, was declared International Labor Day by the International Labor Organization. Accordingly, every country in the world celebrates World Labor Day on the first of May and organizes demonstrations, rallies and festivals to commemorate Labor Day
