Litro breaks promise: Laugfs resumes works !

Gas distribution will be delayed by two more days, Litro Gas said.

Accordingly, the company advised the public not to wait in line for gas tomorrow (May 27) and the day after tomorrow (May 28).

A spokesman said that the arrival of the two ships carrying 3,500 metric tons of gas scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka today (May 26) was delayed by two days.

Litro suspended distribution of domestic gas cylinders on May 24 due to gas shortages.

On May 23, Litro Gas paid $ 6.5 million for two ships carrying 3,500 metric tons of gas, which was due to arrive in Sri Lanka today (May 26).

The company had earlier said that the gas cylinders would be launched on May 26, from today.

Laugfs Gas, meanwhile, says it will begin supplying gas cylinders to the local market within the next six days.

Laugfs Gas Chairman W.K.H. Mr. Wegapitiya said the company has been able to open LoCs.

As a result, Laugfs Gas will be able to re-release gas cylinders to the local market, he said.

Laugfs had to suspend gas distribution for a long time due to problems in opening letters of credit.

It affected a significant number of consumers.
