The World Bank says it does not plan to provide new financial facilities to Sri Lanka until a proper macroeconomic policy framework is in place.
The World Bank has stated this in a statement.
The Bank said it was concerned about the people of Sri Lanka and was working with the International Monetary Fund and other development partners to assist Sri Lanka.
The World Bank said in a statement that it was redesigning previously approved projects to assist the government in providing Sri Lanka with essential medicines, relief to the poor and relief to farmers and small businesses.
