Mahinda Rajapaksa will not resign from the post of Prime Minister !

Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardena says that no decision has been taken to remove Mahinda Rajapaksa from the post of Prime Minister.

The Minister was speaking to the media after the ruling party meeting held in Parliament on May 4.

Journalist: There are rumors that the Prime Minister will resign from the post of Prime Minister after making a special statement. What is the real situation in this regard?

Dinesh Gunawardena: No such decision. The Prime Minister is scheduled to make a statement on the problems in the country. The economy, the problems of the masses, the problems of Parliament. It can often be done tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Therefore, the dignity of the news agencies is protected by not acting to put faith in these false propaganda.
