Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera has instructed the relevant officials to grant temporary approval for investments in renewable energy projects that have been requested.
Addressing a special discussion at the CEB, the Minister said that he hoped to address the current power shortage.
Discussions also focused on the speedy end of the power crisis in the country, the removal of barriers to uninterrupted supply of electricity and the speedy implementation of renewable energy projects.
