SLFP writes to IGP about blindfolding Bandaranaike statue ! බණ්ඩාරනායක පිළිරුවේ දෑස් කළු රෙදි කඩකින් බැඳ දැමීම ගැන ශ්‍රී ලනිප පොලිස්පතිට ලියයි !

ගාලු මුවදොර පිහිටි එස්.ඩබ්ලිව්.ආර්.ඩී. බණ්ඩාරනායක මහතාගේ පිළිරුවට "අගෞරව කිරීම” සම්බන්ධයෙන් විධිමත් පරීක්ෂණයක් පවත්වන ලෙස සඳහන් කරමින් ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂය පොලිසිපතිවරයා වෙත ලිපියක් යොමු කර තිබේ.

ශ්‍රි ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂයේ ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් නීතිඥ දයාසිරි ජයසේකර මහතා විසින් මෙම ලිපිය යොමු කරනු ලැබ ඇති අතර එම පිළිරුවෙහි ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීමට පියවර ගන්නා ලෙසට එමගින් ඉල්ලීමක් කර ඇත.

ගාලු මුවදොර විරෝධතාකරුවන්ගෙන් එක් අයෙකු ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂය යේ නිර්මාතෘ දිවංගත අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය එස්.ඩබිලිව්.ආර්.ඩී. බණ්ඩාරනායක මහතාගේ පිළිරුව මතට නැගි කළු රෙදි කඩකින් එම පිළිරුවේ දෑස් බැඳ දමන ආකාරය දැක්වෙන ඡායාරූප පසුගිය දිනයේදී සමාජ මාධ්‍ය තුළ සංසරණය වූ බව අදාළ ලිපියේ ඔහු සඳහන් කර තිබේ.

එම ක්‍රියාව තම පක්ෂය තරයේ හෙළා දකින ද ඔහු එම ලිපියේ වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කර ඇත.

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has sent a letter to the IGP requesting a formal inquiry into the "disrespect" of Mr. Bandaranaike's statue. The letter was sent by the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, Dayasiri Jayasekara Attorney-at-Law, requesting that steps be taken to ensure the safety of the statue. One of the Galle Face protesters was the late Prime Minister SWRD Bandaranaike, the founder of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. He has mentioned in the relevant article that the photographs of Mr. Bandaranaike being blindfolded with a black cloth hanging on the statue were circulated on social media recently. He further added that his party strongly condemned the move.
