The CID has so far recorded statements from the IGP, the Commanding Officer of the Police Special Task Force and the DIG in charge of the Police Special Bureau.

A senior official of the Investigation Department stated that the interrogation began at around 2.00 pm on May 21.

The official further stated that statements were obtained regarding the incidents that took place on May 9 at Galle Face and Kollupitiya.
