US responds strongly to attack on peace activists !

The US State Department says it is closely monitoring the current situation in Sri Lanka.

At a press conference on May 10, its spokesman Ned Price said this in response to a question raised by a journalist.

He noted that the deployment of troops was being monitored and closely monitored.

He said peaceful protesters should never be subjected to violence or intimidation, whether in a military or civilian unit.

Ned Pryce said the United States condemned the violence against peaceful protesters and called for a full investigation and legal action.

He said the United States was also closely monitoring the political situation in Sri Lanka following the resignation of the Prime Minister.

He called on the Sri Lankan government and political leaders to work together to ensure public safety and to work together to identify and implement solutions to achieve long-term economic and political stability in Sri Lanka.
