A dead body of a person has been found in a train compartment in Rambukkana

Rambukkana Police said that a body was found in a train compartment at the Rambukkana railway station this morning (June 12).

This train will leave Colombo Fort for Rambukkana Railway Station, stop overnight and leave for Colombo Fort the next day.

A spokesman for the Rambukkana Railway Station said that the train had arrived at the Rambukkana Railway Station at around 10.30 pm yesterday and that no one was in the compartment during the inspection carried out at the station.

A ticket obtained from Bandarawela to Polgahawela on the day before yesterday was found in the possession of the deceased.

A team of officers from the Special Crimes Division of the Kegalle Police Division is conducting investigations into the incident.
