Sagala says a petrol tanker will not arrive until July 22


Prime Ministerial Adviser Sagala Ratnayake says that a ship carrying petrol will return to Sri Lanka on July 22.


Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has stated this when he met the editors of newspapers, TV and radio news directors this afternoon (June 29).


Explaining the current situation of fuel in the country, Mr. Sagala Ratnayake has stated that a ship carrying diesel will arrive in Sri Lanka between July 11 and 15. Until then, the Petroleum Corporation has stocks of diesel only for essential services, he said.


Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe also made a special statement to the media regarding the urgent measures taken to resolve the fuel crisis.


Meanwhile, Sagala Ratnayake has stated that 33,000 metric tons of gas will be received in Sri Lanka by the 6th, 10th, 16th, 19th, 21st and 31st of next month.
