The deceased has been identified as a 24 year old resident of Boralankada, Dehiowita.
The victim died at the Karawanella Hospital yesterday (June 18) after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment.
Police said a suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder.
It has been revealed that the suspect had assaulted the victim due to a personal dispute between the victim and the suspect.
Deraniyagala Police are conducting further investigations.
