Attack on protesters: 13 released on bail, including Milan Jayatilake and Mahinda Kahandagama; Sanath Nishantha remanded again

Sri Lanka People's Front (SLPP) MP Milan Jayatilake, Mahinda Kahandagama and 13 others who were arrested and remanded by the CID have been released on bail.

The suspects were produced before the Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage on June 8.

The court also remanded MP Sanath Nishantha and three others until June 15.

The CID has arrested Sanath Nishantha, Milan Jayatilake, Mahinda Kahandagama and other suspects in connection with the May 9 violence.
