Cabinet approves Public Service Overseas Employment

Cabinet approval has been granted to issue circulars amending the existing provisions to enable public servants to obtain unpaid leave for a period of 5 years for employment  abroad  activities.

Considering the current economic situation in the country, it will be advised to amend the provisions so as not to prejudice seniority and pensions and to issue relevant circulars.

The relevant proposal has been submitted by the Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government and it has been approved by the Cabinet.
