The son and daughter-in-law of MP Dilip Wedaarachchi who were arrested for verbally abusing police officers and obstructing their duties have been remanded till June 08.
The suspects were remanded after being produced before the Walasmulla Magistrate's Court.
Ravindu Wedaarachchi and his wife Nethmi Harindi de Silva were charged with obstructing police duties and committing criminal violence at the Bedigama interchange on the Southern Expressway on the 1st.
A video of the incident was also circulated on social media.
